Get Inspired,
by the wild beauty of the Isle of Lewis. Vast beaches, epic landscapes, turquoise waters and endless skies are just the tip of what the island has to offer. It really is a creative's paradise!
The Isle of Lewis is home to some of the most spectacular scenery and wildlife you could hope to encounter. You cannot fail to be creatively inspired and invigorated by the abundant range of sights, sounds, patterns and textures.
You'll be surrounded by expansive beaches, crystal clear seas and dramatic, mountainous landscapes where golden eagles, porpoise and otters are just some of the wildlife you might encounter.
Create and connect with like-minded individuals, bonding over creativity, the island experience and incredible food. We're catering to a small group of no more than 8 artists to ensure your experience feels personal and special.
You'll lean into the island experience and over the course of a week learn to respond instinctively, allowing your work to Discover, Explore, Immerse, Expand and Evolve as you create outside, drawing inspiration directly from the environment and the elements.
The island has a magical way of weaving it's way into your heart, soothing your soul and energising your spirits. As an artist, it brings you everything you wanted and even more that you didn't know you needed.
Holly moved to the island in 2023 and immediately fell in love with the rugged landscapes, ever changing skies and vivid waters.
A passionate advocate of Drawing Wildly, Holly knew her new home was the perfect location to host a creative retreat, where she could share her enthusiasm for reacting and reflecting the island experience on paper and canvas.

Your week will consist of five days creative guidance to build your confidence and ability drawing and painting on location. You'll be taken to some of the island's most stunning and inspiring spots, off the beaten track and even, weather permitting, out at sea! Monday to Friday will be structured to Discover, Explore, Immerse, Expand and Evolve your observational location drawing skills and Holly will be there throughout to guide and encourage you.
Holly's enthusiasm for expressive mark-making and colour, combined with your own physical and emotional reaction to the environment is sure to produce some of your most wildly creative artwork to date, no matter what your experience. If you've longed to inject your work with vibrant energy and expression then you'll be in the right place, with the right people to do so!
Morning and afternoon excursions will be punctuated by warming, freshly prepared meals and open fires back at your beautiful accommodation and, if the weather really takes a turn for the worst, there's space to create indoors with stunning window aspects to act as view-finders!
You'll bring along your own drawing materials and sketchbooks although Holly will be sharing samples of some of her favourite drawing materials too. Having lots of equipment isn't essential here - it's amazing what can be created using some freshly picked marram grass, or moss dipped in ink!
Please note that some of our drawing locations will be remote and require you to be able to walk over uneven terrain whilst carrying your kit.

Delia creates Food for Foodies and, an artist herself, creates bold colourful plates that are a feast for eyes and stomach. Local fresh produce and a whole lot of love will go into every bite you eat, you'll feel so nourished and indulged during your stay, you wont want to leave!
Delia and Holly are sisters and their collaboration to create Wild Isle Creative Retreats comes from a joint passion for creating experiences with food and art that leave people feeling truly cared for. You'll feel embraced by warmth and hospitality from the moment you arrive to long after you leave.
Breakfasts designed to set you up for a day of creativity and exploration - homemade bircher muesli and warm scones from the oven. Warming lunches with freshly baked sourdough bread to restore your energy and then Canapés and Cocktails in front of an open fire before dinner, all shared with your fellow creatives and new friends.
If you have any specific dietary requirements or intolerances, please let us know in the booking form so we can thoughtfully accommodate your needs. Food will be prepared in a kitchen that handles gluten and nuts so severe allergies cannot sadly be catered for.

We've gone all out to find the best possible base for your Wild Isle Creative Retreat and with elevated views over the expansive Uig sands, Eagle Lodge is everything you could hope for...including regular visits from eagles!
Breathtaking sea and mountain views will surround you and can be taken in through the floor to ceiling windows, or, from the hot tub after a long day of creativity! This setting is nothing short of extraordinary and nearby, locations such as Reef Beach and the Mangersta Stacks offer endless inspiration just moments away.
After windswept days outdoors, return to warmth, comfort and luxury. With plenty of ways to relax in house from jacuzzi baths to a hot tub or steam room, or simply a comfy seat in front of a fire taking in the views.
Bedrooms are twin sharing (same sex) but if you're travelling as a couple, simply let us know and your room can be set up as a double. Travelling with friends? Just tell us and we'll make sure you're accommodated together.
The Lodge has all the comforts of home plus plenty of thoughtful touches to make your stay feel as wonderful as possible. We take our hosting duties seriously and want you to feel nothing less that special from the moment you arrive.
And if the Hebridean weather turns too wild? Eagle Lodge has the space and views to let the creativity continue. Full-height windows offer virtually uninterrupted views of the vast landscape and ever-changing skies, with the bonus of cups of tea and home baking on tap!
The cost of this very special creative retreat is £2895 and prices are inclusive of all accommodation, food, creative activities and entertainment. Spaces are limited to just 8 individuals so early booking is advisable.
You may pay in full, or, secure your space with a £300 non-refundable deposit followed by options to pay in up to 9 monthly instalments, depending on your preference.
Price does not include transport to the island or personal travel insurance.
